Launch of an e-Learning Course on Food Loss Analysis

Food loss is a complex issue, often with multiple and interrelated causes operating at different levels.

This e-learning course introduces a method to identify the causes of food loss and the critical loss points in a food supply chain, so as to recommend feasible food loss reduction solutions. This course targets professionals who want to design, organize, coordinate and implement a food loss analysis - in particular field level programme officers and technical advisors - but also academics who want to learn more about the topic in order to teach others. The course was developed by FAO in partnership with IFAD and WFP, with the financial support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
