Press Release 02/25/16: Resignation, President of South-South News

The staff of South-South News was informed that Ambassador Francis Lorenzo, who co-founded the company in 2010 and has served as its honorary president ever since, has announced his resignation as informed by his legal counsel on February 18, 2016.

Following his indictment by a federal prosecutor last October, Mr. Lorenzo has maintained his title and position at South-South News, however his involvement in the operations of the company were greatly reduced.

The South-South News staff understand the legal process in which Mr. Lorenzo is involved, and respect his decision to resign. But we continue to believe that his personal circumstances should not shine a negative light on the previous hard work and successes achieved by current and former staff since the company’s founding.
