Shawl To Remember is a poignant film project that invites women to share their stories – stories of survival, love, success, triumph and sisterhood. One shawl will be shared and exchanged between women of varying backgrounds and ages and document the shawl bearer’s journey through these life stages to illustrate the power of our common bond. Upon capturing one story, the shawl will be bestowed upon another revered woman of her choosing and the cycle will continue until the shawl has met the ambitious goal of traveling the world. This joint initiative between Fashion 4 Development and Advanced Development for Africa will be created to inspire women the world over and serve as a powerful reminder that we stand as one.

"We live in an increasingly water insecure world where demand often outstrips supply and where water quality often fails to meet minimum standards. Under current trends, future demands for water will not be met." -United Nations Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon's message on the International Day of Biological Diversity 2013.

"Intensive efforts to achieve the MDGs have clearly improved health for people all over the world," said Dr. Margaret Chan, Director-General of the United Nations World Health Organization (WHO).

Giant pandas, tigers, gorillas, marine turtles, polar bears, rhinos, whales and elephants are among the endangered warns the Convention of International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES).
